Spread The Word About Gambling Addiction

Spread the word about Gambling Addiction

Gambling Disorder will affect 11 million American adults in their lifetimes.

You probably know someone who has lost money, a home, family, and finally his/her self respect to disordered gambling. Chances you aren’t aware of the depth of their problems or the furious battle with Gambling addiction behind them.

Namaspa teacher in training Pete Pennington, Gambling Treatment coordinator for BestCare, aims to change this by producing a documentary to raise awareness of Gambling Disorder and its available treatment. Increased awareness will reduce shame and stigma around the disorder and those afflicted and affected.

The Elephant Next Door, a documentary, reveals the devastating impact of Gambling Disorder on individuals and families and explores the inspiring journeys of recovery that heal individuals and communities:

Many people across the country have donated time and resources to the project. We need your help. To support The Elephant Next Door: A Documentary, donate here:

Your donations will go toward equipment, professional editing, establishing a nonprofit organization, grant applications and travel.

Namaspa and Yoga Across America have teamed up with BestCare Treatment Services to support the Gambling Recovery Community in Deschutes County by providing free yoga to people in recovery from Gambling Disorder. This pilot program forms the basis for research to legitimize yoga as part of a holistic treatment program for Gambling Disorder. We are the change we want to see in the world.
